What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received—whether for life, work, or insurance?
“The unexamined life is not worth living.” This quote from Socrates has been a guiding force in my life.
What’s your signature karaoke song (or the one you’d never sing)?
“Jesse’s Girl” by Rick Springfield—with “Jeremy” by Pearl Jam as a close second.
What inspired you to work in the insurance industry, and what’s the most rewarding part of your role?
After 27 years in Behavioral Health, I wanted a new way to help people. Insurance lets me serve others while staying true to my social work values. I’m also grateful to work for the Waldo family and give back to them.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you (but will now!)?
I performed Mexican folkloric dance with La Grandeza Azteca from ages 6 to 16—and yes, I can still cut a rug!
If you could have lunch with any fictional character, who would it be and why?
Ishmael from Ishmael: An Adventure of the Mind & Spirit for his life-changing insights on humanity and nature.
